Daily musings of the osteopaths
Little tip for the travellers amongst you: don't carry heavy bags and wear high heels at the same time....both are pretty unkind to your back, and putting both together is reaLly daft and asking for a back spasm. If you have to carry a heavy suitcase it is better to carry 2 (one on each side) that june, as you centrally load the spine rather than just one side, and the spine is much stronger in this position. Drink lots of water! Try to stand up and walk around a bit at least once an hour if on a long haul flight, and placing a rolled up towel or jumper in the small of you backwill help delay the onset of low back ache. The key is to keep moving.

How about traveling ankle, knee, back and neck pain???
After returning from a week of snowboarding I am feeling a bit tender - perhaps you could publish a "pre-ski" regime blog for all us adrenaline junkies to help us prepare for those minor bumps we are bound to get when boarding/skiing (sprained ankle, whiplash etc)...
Sorry Coby for undoing all the good work you did to my neck, I promise I'll be more careful next time (maybe)!!
That's ok Tim, adrenalin junkies like yourself pay for my holidays!
Pre-skiing is all about protecting your knees. You need to strengthen you quads to proctect your knees and get your hips nice and flexible. I am writing an article on this at the moment for Yoga Magazine - I'll publish it on the site when it's done.
